On Sunday the 28th my class and I departed for Wellington for our class camp. We stopped along the way to go to an army museum. We went in our around. We saw lifelike manikins posing in the expeditions. It was a long trip but when we finally got there everyone was glad to be there and out of the bus.
On Monday we went to the karori wildlife sanctuary,we walked around looking for birds and insects and listening to see if we could hear the birds call. We learnt a lot of things about the wildlife in new Zealand. After the wildlife sanctuary we went to the weta workshop we looked at all of the things they had made and took photos. We went into a mini cinema in the workshop it was about the weta workshop and all of the films they had made animations for. Then we went to Te Papa a museum, we walked around in our parent groups we saw the colossal squid and we went to look in the fashion area of the museum. When we left Te Papa we ate lunch and then went to ONTV. ONTV is a place where we made our own TV show called ‘ This is your life.’ There was a presenter and a main guest they were the most important people on the show. There were two actors, three camera operators, one director, reporters and interviewees and other jobs. Then we went back to camp.
On Tuesday we went to Picton on a interislander ferry. From the ferry there were great views. It took us three hours to get there we were all existed about being there. We walked around in our parents groups looking in shops and taking photos.We went back on a different ferry. When we got of we went back to camp.
On Wednesday we went to the westpac stadium we had a tour around. After the westpack stadium we went to the Parliament we walked around and learnt some intresting things. Afterwards we went to the new dowes gallery we looked at the exhibits they were very interesting to look at. Then we went to the swimming pools we played about in the water after we went back to camp.
On Thursday we went to the national museum it was very interesting. Following that we went to the Wellington museum to learn about the wahinie disaster it was pretty interesting. For lunch we ate on the water front and then went to the wellington zoo. The zoo had loads of cool animals, we got to see a kiwi and giraffes and bears and other amazing animals. After that we went to the sound house we made music and then a music videoto go with it.Afterwards we went back to the camp grounds.
On Friday we got up bright and early ready for the long trip back home. We stopped for lunch about half way there. When we got back our parent’s were waiting for us so we got our luggage and went home.
