Shooting

On Thursday I went to a club for shooting with my friend. We went with his dad to the Te Awamutu Rifle Club. First we payed four dollars to get in, then we had to wait for other people to come.

 We shot at targets. First laying down we got five shots, then we were meant to sit but I stayed  laying down again because I could not shoot sitting up. Again we got five shots. The last position was standing I did very bad it this. Then we all looked at our target sheets. Altogether I got 49. It was my first time shooting so I think I did well. My friend got 124, but he had been shooting for a long time.

Then we got to shoot at a target bird. There were little circles painted on the paper bird. I shot at it and got 20 points because I hit the little circle on its neck. We got five shots with this. We had to soot in 20 second at it. 3 of my shots missed one hit a line inbetween the circles. It dosn’t count if you hit inbetween the lines. After that we looked at our target. I took mine home to show my dad, he does shooting. I liked it, it was fun. The club is on once a month. I would like  to go again next month.

Dog verse Cat

My dog Biscuit, and my kitten Leo always play fight. It is really funny to watch because Leo bites Biscuit’s lips, ears and legs. Biscuit puts Leo’s head in her mouth but only slobbers on him she does not bite him. Leo is very small and quite young. He is under a year old whereas Biscuit is over one years old. Biscuit chases Leo,when she catches he she licks him untilhe can get away. He goes under my bed and plays under it. When Biscuit crawls under he bites her and runs away. Leo climes on the table so Biscuit follows. She gets into trouble because she scratches the chairsand table really deeply. Leo and Biscuit afterwards sleep next to our fire. Leo likes to curl u near Biscuit’s face, he purrs a lot and really loudly when he does this. It is very cute!!

Sleepover

On SaturdayI went to Briar’s house for a sleep over. We went on the computer and looked up some recipes. Also we learnt a bit of Italian. With a recipe we made a drink. It was an Italian style drink we put in juice, bitters, soda and ice. It was very nice. Afterwards we watched a film called Underworld it was a bit gross but a good movie. We had dinner made by Briar’s mum the we got changed into pretty dresses to go out in. Later on at about ten past seven we went to a show with her Mum called Shirley Valentine. It was a one person show( where only one person acts the whole way through.) I was very impressed with the actress because she had very good facial expressions and she remembered a lot of dialog wich Iwould have forgotten. We ate chocolate ice-creams it was all good fun. When we got back we went to bed because it was quite late. 

In the morning we watched the second film in the Underworld series. We watched the film as we ate breakfast which was toast with butter,Cinnamon and sugar on. It was unusual but yummy. Then we played a game called Rummy-O we read the instructions but it was so confusing we made a game that was like Solitaire. Next we went on the computer we watched cadbu crunchie comedy show. Then we went on youtube because Briar wanted to show me a funny film and I her. I had to go then. We had loads of fun.

My Grandad

 My grandad is an amazing person, he is a senior technical liaison he looks after computers that the company sells .The company is called Dixons stores group. They are the largest electrical retailers in Europe. They take care of all network requirements in the company. He is retired now, he finds it boring to be retired however he will defiantly find something to occupy him.

He wants to come out to New Zealand and he keeps trying to get me to send him a ticket( but not for real!!!) He has already been out to New Zealand but I would love to see him again. He enjoyed his visit to New Zealand ( Though he complained about the Internet speed being slow) The speed of the Internet connections in the U.K ( the slow ones) were 10mbs the fast ones were 50mbs. The best thing about being in New Zealand is to be with my family he told me. I was VERY glad to see him too.

His hobbies ( so he says ) is sampling wine but  I don’t believe him! New Zealand has a lot of vineyards which we took him to. Grandad probably enjoyed that! He teases me but in a fun way. I miss his so so so much.

Next week he is going to London to visit some friends. My grandad says he finds London boring because he has been there so many times. Grandad used to live in Africa for eleven years. His job in Africa was Chief  Mechanical Engineer. It was a Dutch company building roads, airports and dams. The job was fun for him it was a very interesting job and Continent the said. Dad lived there too. Dad had loads of pet chameleon’s. Grandad had a pet red monkey called Smoky. Also on another occasion he had a pig called charlie. Charile came to grandadwhen he whistled him like a dog. Charlie was good at raiding peoples gardens fetching tomatoes and other things.

Grandad also worked aboard ships. He repaired the engines on them. The engines were so big he could stand up inside them. He likes flying and he would like to come back to New Zealand. Some of grandads friends have private pilot licences. He was going to get one to but his eyesight was not good enough. So he did not get a licence.

Grandad is very popular he has friends all over the world. He can go to Texas and Florida any time he wants to. My grandad is the best and I love his SO much. He is very interesting and I miss him like mad!!!!                                                          This was my grandad at Bridle Vail Falls.

My Animals

I have a dog. She is called Biscuit, she is absolutelycrazy.  My grandad bought her especially for me when he was returning to England from having a holiday here. She tries to mother my cat, Elfie, who is older than herself.

 I also have a cat called Elfie. She mostly stays outside, but comes in for food. Yesterday she killed a jack rabbit and put it on our doorstep. My mum almost steppedon it. She likes being stroked behind her ears.

We have a kitted called Leo. He likes to bite Biscuit a lot. He runs really fast around the house like a little rocket. Adorable as he is, he is disliked by Elfie. She hisses at him every time he goes close to her. Leo likes to watch Elfie eat.

 We have two baby bulls called Sir Moo a lot and one called Tweety Pie. They have only just started to eat grass. They suck on your fingers. They only have bottom teeth. Tweety Pie is about a week younger than Sir Moo Moo. Tweety has no white on him whereas Moo Moo does. 

Lastly we have a horse named Bacardi, he is sweet and comes to you if you call him. If you try to ride him he is very stubborn. Mostly he walks around our Paddock eating the grass. We love all of our animals loads!

Party

On Friday I went to my friends house for her birthday with 5 others. When I got there she opened her presents then we all did some dancing.  After we had a competition to see who could do the best girlie make-up the birthday girl won. Then we had tea, we ate pizza and chips with melon and mini sausages. After tea we watched two movies first we watched St Trinian’sthen Angus,thongs and perfect snogging. They were both comedy’s.  Then we went to bed but we talked for a long time so it was eleven o’clock before any one got any sleep.

The next morning we had pancakes for breakfast with sprite to drink. We put M&M’sin the sprite to make it change colour. Mine was lime green (I put yellow and blue ones in.) Then we watched two more comedy’s called Mrs Pettigrew lives another day and Charlie’s angels full throttle. Afterward we all packed up then it was time to leave. Everyone there had a really great time.

Wellington camp

On Sunday the 28th my class and I departed for Wellington for our class camp. We stopped along the way to go to an army museum. We went in our  around. We saw lifelike manikins posing in the expeditions. It was a long trip but when we finally got there everyone was glad to be there and out of the bus.

 On Monday we went to the karori wildlife sanctuary,we walked around looking for birds and insects and listening to see if we could hear the birds call. We learnt a lot of things about the wildlife in new Zealand. After the wildlife sanctuary we went to the weta workshop we looked at all of the things they had made and took photos. We went into a mini cinema in the workshop it was about the weta workshop and all of the films they had made animations for. Then we went to Te Papa a museum, we walked around in our parent groups we saw the colossal squid and we went to look in the fashion area of the museum. When we left Te Papa we ate lunch and then went to ONTV. ONTV is a place where we made our own TV show called ‘ This is your life.’ There was a presenter and a main guest they were the most important people on the show. There were two actors, three camera operators, one director, reporters and interviewees and other jobs. Then we went back to camp.

On Tuesday we went to Picton on a interislander ferry. From the ferry there were great views. It took us three hours to get there we were all existed about being there. We walked around in our parents groups looking in shops and taking photos.We went back on a different ferry. When we got of we went back to camp.

On Wednesday we went to the westpac stadium we had a tour around. After the westpack stadium we went to the Parliament we walked around and learnt some intresting things. Afterwards we went to the new dowes gallery we looked at the exhibits they were very interesting to look at. Then we went to the swimming pools we played about in the water after we went back to camp.

On Thursday we went to the national museum it was very interesting. Following that we went to the Wellington museum to learn about the wahinie disaster it was pretty interesting. For lunch we ate on the water front and then went to the wellington zoo. The zoo had loads of cool animals, we got to see a kiwi and giraffes and bears and other amazing animals. After that we went to the sound house we made music and then a music videoto go with it.Afterwards we went back to the camp grounds.

On Friday we got up bright and early ready for the long trip back home. We stopped for lunch about half way there. When we got back our parent’s were waiting for us so we got our luggage and went home.

Designer Fun

Me and my best friend had so much fun!

Briar was at my house and we were looking for something to do. I looked in my wardrobe and a idea hit me, we could make our own out fits. I had a long skirt on so I hitched it up a little and told Briar my idea. We raided my wardrobe for cool items. We put on long T-shirts and pulled our skirts up to our chests and secured them there with tight belts.

We looked awesome so we decided to do our hair ( Lord of the rings style) accessories and make up ( briar’s  idea). Sadly Briar’s  mum came before we got to do the make up.

We did a catwalk for  our mums,  my brothers  and my dog Biscuit. We looked great and we had so much fun.

What keeps me going

When I first got “tagged” by Alex I didn’t know what to write then my brothers came running into the room that gave me the idea.

Family: Although brothers and sisters can be annoying they also help you realize what you’ve got and how lucky you are that you have it. Parents can be bossy and can overreact but only because they love you and want you to be safe.

Friends:When you are sad they comfort you they always tell you the truth. Great friends help you through tough times and are always there for you.

Pets: They are always happy to see you and are always loyal. Pets can not talk so they tell you they love you by being good and true.

Calves

 On friday we went to pick up our new baby calves. They are bulls, one is a Jersey called Tweety the other is a jersey x called Sir moo a lot or for short Moo Moo. Tweety is the smallest and is about a week old, he is shy and quite. Sir moo a lot obviously moos a lot, he is also the biggest and is about a day older than Tweety. Every morning my little brothers get to feed them and every evening I get to feed them ( they suck really hard). My dog Biscuit sits near the fence and watches them, sometimes she barks at them. Biscuit can also get into the paddock with the calves ,she barks at them and scares them so I have to catch her and take her out(Biscuit can run VERY fast so it’s really hard to catch her). Our other bigger bulls come and talk to the babies(we have four they are about one or two years old). Tweety and Sir moo a lot suck on your fingers.Everyone loves the babies, when they are one year old we are going to get another two babies.
